What is a Neurotoxin?
Neurotoxins are injectable medications used to temporarily relax targeted facial muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines. Common brands include Botox Cosmetic, Xeomin, Dysport, and Daxxify.

How do Neurotoxins work?
Neurotoxins work by temporarily blocking the signal between the nerve and the muscle. This allows the muscle to relax, which softens existing lines and helps prevent deeper wrinkles from forming.
Results are NOT immediate. Most clients begin noticing results in 3-5 days for early changes and full results in about 10-14 days.
Results typically last approximately 3-4 months (varies by prodcut and individual metabolism).
Consistency is key! Regular treatments help maintain smoother, softer results over time.

What can I expect at my appointment?
At your appointment you can expect: a consultation with your provider to discuss goals, a facial assessment and treatment plan, before photos, quick treatment (usually 10-20 minutes), small injections with minimal discomfort, and little to no downtime.
Some clients may experience mild redness, small bumps at injection sites, or minor swelling or bruising. These effects are temporary and usually resolve quickly.

What are the after-care instructions?
For the BEST treatment results after treatment:
- Stay upright for 4 hours
- Exercise your treated muscles periodically for the first hour
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours
- Avoid facials, massages, or lying face down the same day
- Avoid excessive heat (saunas, hot tubs) for 24 hours
Call your provider if you experience:
- Difficulty swallowing
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe swelling
- Vision changes
